Ahhh...a new year!

We had a busy travel day on New Year's Eve. Ted, Noah and I went shopping to use up some gift cards and coupons that will be useless in Germany. The German office is very professional in dress compared to the American business casual, so Ted will be back in his suits and ties.

We then traveled to south Denver to have dinner with the Allen's (Brandon, Deanna and Brianna) and their friends the Riley's and Becky and Hanna. We had a really nice dinner. Which you may think was impossible with two seven month olds, a six month old and a sixteen month old. I think the waiter was really afraid at first.

We then hopped in the car and went to Pueblo. We hung out at Lori's house with Jessica, Ryan and Riley. Lori beat us at a movie game (it was her game, so I think that had something to do with it). We rang in the new year with Regis and some chick we had never seen on Fox. That was the main questions of the night..."Who is that lady???"

New Year's Day marked the 33rd anniversary of my brother Frank's birth. (Although, if you ask him it was his 23rd. He has been 23 years old for a few years now.) We made some classic family dishes at Frank's request. French Onion Soup ( which we used Ted's homemade beef stock), Clam Sauce spaghetti (my aunt Norma's recipe) and Waldorf Astoria Cake (my mom is back in the circle of trust with making the cake. She had been grounded from baking it because she would cook it too long.)

New Year's Day 2006 has also marked the day of another birth. Our friend's the Slades had their baby girl at 11:56pm (just barely making it). Deanna was asked to help during the birth and then came to stay the night with us. It was perfect timing, because we get to meet baby Slade and also hang out with Deanna for a while.

Noah is doing great! He continues to amaze us each day. He is sitting up pretty well on his own. He rolls around like crazy and also likes to push up on his feet while in the crawling position. I don't think it should be too long before we are chasing him around. Oh, and his giggle is enough to put a smile on anyone's face.

Yeah, I get to be the first person to leave a comment. I am glad you set this up (even if I forgot to e-mail you my friend Ang's for an example!).

I am going to miss you guys, but I will definitely come visit you in Germany.

Good luck!
