Happy New Year!!
First, Happy Birthday Frank! (My brother). He is 24 years old...or 34...but who's counting?
Second, we get our house back in 31 days!!
Can you believe another year has passed? Wow! Well, this is going to be a pretty busy year for us. I start a new job tomorrow. Yup, headed back to the good ol' work force. I got a really cool job with a local CPA here in Denver. I am working part time for him. The office is located in downtown, so Ted and I may get to carpool sometimes. Noah will be heading off to daycare at a really nice center near downtown. He has been to centers before while I was interviewing, so I am confident that he will do well.
Ted's job is going really good. He is doing a ton of interesting work and is really enjoying it. He is also continuing to expand his culinary knowledge by experimenting with different techniques (i.e., confit and other french things). For Christmas he received a French cooking book written in 1903. He loves it...one recipe calls for fowl skeleton...yummy!
Ted has resumed his duties as treasure of the Denver chapter of the American Wine Society. He attends monthly wine tastings and has really enjoyed reconnecting with our old friends. (We went to Italy with this group). I get to go to some of the tastings when we get a babysitter for Noah.
Noah continues to amaze us everyday. He is a very physical kid...running, climbing, trotting. I am trying to teach him to jump right now. It is pretty funny. He is talking a little bit. His vocab includes Hi, Mom, Daddy, kitty...however he has his only language that he uses very regularly with hand gestures...someday we will know what the heck he is saying.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season! And Happy New Year!
